Welcome!
I am an Illustrator and Art Educator interested in the natural world as well as quirky popular culture. I attended Massachusetts College of Art and Design for an undergraduate degree in Illustration, and I attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts for Art Education. I feel a deep connection to animals and the environment, and enjoy capturing each creatures' individualities in my animal portraits. Fashion and glamour are strong interests of mine, and I like to bedazzle and embellish my "Glaminals." I often use glitter, rhinestones, and accessories, whether it is for a pet portrait, or a painting of an endangered species. I also am strongly interested by the peculiarities of people, and take influence from low-brow American popular culture and reality television. I experiment with vibrant, and often day-glow color palettes, and find animals' unique textures and patterns so much fun to paint, along with garish celebrity fashion.
